Rabbit class has children from Reception and Year One. The class is taught by Mrs Matthews and Mrs Raynor, assisted by Mrs Hirons.
This is our class.
We have been painting pictures from our beautiful world.
Foundation Stage
The Foundation Stage is the first part of the National Curriculum focussing on children aged 3 to the end of reception year. The philosophy underpinning the Foundation Stage curriculum is that learning should be planned and structured with an emphasis on fun, relevant and motivating activities.
There are six areas of learning which form the basis of the foundation stage curriculum. These areas are:
-
Personal, social and emotional development
-
Communication, language and literacy
-
Mathematical development
-
Knowledge and understanding of the world
-
Physical development
-
Creative development
Each area of learning has a set of related early learning goals.
We make our foundation curriculum exciting and relevant for all children by including many activities and opportunities for the children to experience. They will be able to work together and learn from each other. They will also have the opportunity to share their work in the class and the whole school.
